Croft Retro and Classic Weekend to take one year off in 2020

The Croft Retro and Classic Weekend will take a sabbatical from Croft Circuit’s events calendar in 2020 due to major changes within the British National Race Meeting schedule.

One of the highlights of the summer for the North Yorkshire venue, the two-day meeting showcases the very best in historic racing whilst also playing host to some iconic vehicles amidst the variety of displays it stages.

Creating fun for all the family; retro trade stalls and auto jumbles have also formed part of the Croft Retro and Classic Weekend extravaganza - especially this past year.

It is hoped that the event will return in 2021.

Tracey Morley, Croft Circuit Manager, said: “Due to major changes within the British National Race Meeting calendar, which have affected both the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) and Croft Circuit, sadly we have not been able to find a suitable date for the Club to supply historic racing at Croft in 2020.

“As the HSCC support the Classic and Retro event (formerly known as the Nostalgia event) held annually in August since 2010, we have taken the decision to have a year out from running this event and all parties concerned hope that the event will return to Croft in 2021.”

Croft Circuit’s full 2020 calendar will be published in the coming months.
