Bumper BRSCC weekend of action set for Croft Circuit

For the second time this season, the British Racing & Sports Car Club descends on Croft Circuit TCR Croftin North Yorkshire with another action-packed programme totalling a mammoth 19 races over this next weekend (July 6/7).

After their inaugural and successful visit last year, the popular TCR UK Championship and Dunlop Touring Car Trophy series returns to headline proceedings whereby drivers will go head to head in cars driven in recent years in the British Touring Car Championship with a number of star drivers set to take to the track.

Local driver Max Coates from Scorton, fresh from his double success at Croft in the BTCC-supporting Renault Clio UK Cup a couple of weeks ago, hopes to be back in TCR UK action following a guest drive in the series at Donington Park recently. Arriving at Croft, it’s the relations of popular BTCC names at the fore as James Turkington leads the overall standings ahead of Henry Neal with Coates in third and hoping a deal is possible to maintain his great form at Croft.

On top of the TCR UK action, the BRSCC race programme will also see thrills and spills from the Avon Tyres National Formula Ford Championship, Volkswagen Racing Cup, Disklok Civic Cup, BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship, Toyo Tires Porsche Championships, Nankang Tyres BMW Compact Cup, BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup and the DDMC Northern Sports & Saloon Car Championship.

Qualifying gets underway at 9.30 on Saturday with the first of eight races commencing at 13.50 with Max Coatesaction starting at 12.00 noon on Sunday with the remaining 11 races. Adult admission is just £12.00 on Saturday (£15.00 on gate) and £15.00 in advance on Sunday (£18.00 on gate). An advance adult weekend ticket costs £24.00 in advance or £30.00 on the gate. Accompanied children aged 15 and under admitted FREE on both days and there is also FREE car parking and FREE paddock access.

Meanwhile, with only a month to go until the popular Croft Retro and Classic Weekend (August 3/4), interest is increasing with a host of sideshows and music acts to complement two days of track action organised by the Historic Sports Car Club. Tickets are now available with advance adult admission costing £12.00 on Saturday (£15.00 on gate) and £15.00 in advance on Sunday (£18.00 on gate). An advance adult weekend ticket costs £24.00 in advance or £30.00 on the gate. Accompanied children aged 15 and under admitted FREE on both days and there is also FREE car parking and FREE paddock access.
