Driving on a race circuit is very different to normal road driving. To make the most of the cars you’ll be driving on track you need to learn the ‘racing line’ and braking points. We use Performance Saloon Cars for these initial laps. Our ARDS qualified race instructors will demonstrate the racing lines and braking points plus other hints and tips to help you get the most from your driving experience. Out on track it may seem quite unfamiliar with no road marks or signs and no cars coming in the other direction, but after a few laps watching and listening to your race instructor you’ll have built up a good idea of the circuit layout and be confident when you first get behind the wheel and head out on track. |

The latest Porsche Cayman is a genuine junior supercar. Similar in looks to the 911 but with a mid-engine layout, this new model has the larger 2.9-litre engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Out on track the car gives incredible feedback, allowing the driver to build in confidence and enjoy the increased power and incredible grip that the car generates. Nowhere else in the UK will you drive such an expensive and new car as your introduction to a driving experience. With 4 laps behind the wheel you’ll not only have a huge smile on your face but be ready to take on the next car, no doubt feeling like the next Lewis Hamilton. |

The Lamborghini Aventador is the long waited replacement to the Murcielago. It's completely new with a light weight carbon composite tub and carbon and aluminium body panels. The 6.5 litre V12 is also a brand new design, more efficient and powerful reaching 690 bhp at 8250 rpm. This time it is mated to a 7 speed single clutch automated manual gearbox and with four wheel drive it can reach 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and will keep accelerating until V Max at 217 mph. The press have said it is the fastest car this side of the million pound Bugatti [and feels little slower] making the near £300k price tag a bit of a bargain! |

The stunning R8 is Audi's first attempt at a supercar and they got it right first time. The look of the car is completely different to anything else on the market yet it couldn't be anything else but an Audi. Each R8 is handmade in Germany by specialist teams making each car to a high standard. Open the door and drop into the driving seat, the car seems to mould around you, hit the starter button and the V8 bangs into life. Out on track the car gives incredible levels of grip, even at speed. The aluminium chassis gives great feedback to the driver and urges you to push on more and more. With the V8 screaming away just behind your ear, the nose of the car going exactly where you point it, you wont be able to stop yourself smiling. |

When the Ferrari F355 was first unveiled, it caused a shock throughout the motoring world. It was the best, by a mile, in the way that it drove and how it looked. Today the car is still a head turner and brilliantly satisfying to drive on track which is testimony to just how right the Ferrari designers and engineers were when they produced the car. Seated in the leather driving seat you can take in the beautifully crafted interior. The V8 fires into life then settles to a low burble. Out on track the engine note progresses from a bark to a full on howl as you accelerate up the gears - its completely addictive and you'll want to drive it home. Now you know why a Ferrari is so special. |

Before driving the Supercars, time is spent learning the circuit in the new Porsche Cayman - A fantastic drivers car that inspires confidence and will set you up perfectly for the rest of your course.
The Ferrari F355 delivers breathtaking handling and performance, the Audi R8 is elegant, yet with a controlled aggression and then finally, the heavy hitter - the Lamborghini LP670 Murciélago, with the looks, big power, that is so effectively transmitted to the road via the 4 wheel drive system and a monstrous 6.5 litre V12 engine.
All three are stunningly effective, very fast and great fun to drive. But, they are also very different in the way they drive, making your experience even more interesting. Reading the glossy motoring press will never be the same again – you will know exactly what the journalists are talking about – and you can agree, or disagree with their views!
